One Step After Another
One command is fun. Many commands make a picture. The turtle reads your list from the top, one line at a time, and never skips a line.
💡 The idea
A program is a list of commands, done in order from top to bottom.
- The turtle starts at the top line and works down.
- right turns it towards your right hand. left turns the other way.
- A turn of 90 makes a neat corner.
- A turn does not move the turtle. It only changes the way it faces.
- The same commands in a different order make a different picture.

✍️ Your turn
- Run the program and count the corners.
- Add right 90 and forward 80 at the end. Does the box close?
- Change every 80 to 40 and run it again.
- Swap one right for a left and see what happens.
